My Favorite Type Of scorpions, Costa Rica

Dead Ones! Most mornings it is typical to find one of these little menaces somewhere around the casa, usually the cellar. My morning scorpion safari has become something of a game with me. Thing to watch for is that the buggers most of the time hunt in pairs, so if you find one, look for the other before he finds you. If one does happen to find you first and you feel the burn racing up your arm leg etc. I have learned (through experience) that the anti venom is in the tail. So try not to stomp it into oblivion, break off the tail about halfway and rub the juice on the sting. Most times relief is almost instantaneous. I usually add a benedryl just for good measure.
Pura Vida!
