New Trout Species, Mandarin Trout Savlenicus Artisticus

Every so often I get bored doing the same things so I decided to come up with a new species of Trout. I love the colors of the Mandarin fish and thought they would look kind of cool on the soft curves of a small rainbow . Although I love the colors of the Rainbow Trout I find the the combination of the two fish makes quite an exciting combination.
Hope you like it.

Mike,

I just came across your blog - very nice artwork! Anything trouty certainly captures my attention. The Mandarin Trout is now on my "must catch" list ;-) .

lovely. I've heard they get really big in western Manchuria eating lemmings and small mallard ducks.

Thanks guys, I hear they are tough to catch, and very spooky. I havent fished Manchuria yet but people who Ive talked to say in addition to lemmings and baby ducks, they are particularly fond of gummy bear fly patterns.
