I used to really enjoy the more technical aspects of illustration and detail of drawing. As a matter of fact there was a time when I did the catch and release reproduction paintings before they were so popular. The expressive restrictions and tedium had pushed me away from this form of art for a long time. Lately I am rediscovering how enjoyable it can be to put down the big brushes and work in detail, at the same time realizing that I can still express myself with the use of vibrant fiery colors which all fish possess.
